About the Organization: The East Cambridge Planning Team (ECPT) is a non-profit 501(c4) organization. It started as an unincorporated neighborhood organization in 1965 and incorporated in 2003. We meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month to hear presentations from developers, the city, and other groups doing work in East Cambridge. We are the official, city recognized, neighborhood group in East Cambridge and provide neighborhood input on zoning changes, licenses, curb cuts, environmental issues, city infrastructure, etc. We use Roberts Rules of Order (Parliamentary Procedure) similar to what is used in Congress. Members make motions that are voted on. Voting has some attendance requirements as well as being a resident of East Cambridge. We also have a Board of Directors that meet once a month.
ECPT holds open meetings at East End House twice a month to discuss issues that affect the neighborhood.
ECPT meets in the East End House. 105 Spring Street in East Cambridge. 02141.
